100% PrivateImage Guide
Many forms, job portals, and marketplaces reject images over a set size, often 50 KB, 100 KB, or 200 KB. Guessing quality settings to hit that number is frustrating. A target-size tool does the guessing for you.
Set the target, upload the image, and let the tool try quality first. It searches for a quality level that lands under the target without shrinking the image at all, if that is possible.
If quality alone cannot reach the target, it shrinks dimensions step by step, up to six times, and reports the result honestly: under target, or target missed, smallest made. That label matters, because a file that missed the target should not be uploaded as if it passed.
For PNG files, target size works by dimension shrinking only, because PNG quality settings do not work the same way as JPG. If you need a very small PNG, convert to JPG or WebP first, unless you need transparency.
